Born on August 16, 1927, in Lisbon, Ohio, Ken was the son of Clarence Victor and Virginia (Robinson) Williams. He grew up in a close-knit community, where he developed a strong sense of values and a deep connection to his family and friends. Ken’s early years were marked by a strong work ethic and a commitment to education, which would serve him well throughout his life.
A Life of Service and Community
Ken’s dedication to his community was evident in his brief service in the United States Navy as World War II came to a close. This experience shaped his perspective and instilled in him a sense of duty and responsibility. Upon his return, he married the love of his life, Margaret Barton, on May 21, 1950. Their 75-year union was a testament to their enduring love and commitment to one another. The couple’s bond was celebrated by their community, with the mayor of Lisbon, Peter Wilson, declaring a special day in their honor.

Ken’s professional career was marked by distinction and dedication. He spent many years serving at the United States Post Office, rising through the ranks to become postmaster for Lisbon in 1970. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 30, at Weber Funeral Home in Lisbon, where friends and family will gather to celebrate Ken’s life. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church, a cause close to Ken’s heart. As we remember this extraordinary man, we are reminded of the power of love, family, and community to shape our lives and leave a lasting impact on the world around us.
